There is no need for assault weapons to be sold and kept by private citizens. Too many innocents have died because of them. Outlaw the sale and manufacture of these weapons and stop the saie and manufacture of clips for these weapons that exceed 10 bullets. Also, institue a thirty dollar per bullet tax on all bullets that could be used for these type weapons. Any tax revenue should be divided 3 ways. One third to deficit reduction. One third to support national health care and One third to support Mental Health Awareness.
Hunters and people who want to protect themselves should be able to live with standard hunting rifles and hand guns.
