End the Schedule 1 classification of Marijuana, in light of US Patent #6,330,507.

Created by N.P. on June 01, 2013

Since 2003, the US Patent Office and the Department for Health and Human Services has known about patent #6,630,507, which shows that chemicals within the marijuana plant are useful as medicine in the treatment of many diseases, including Parkinsons, Alzheimers, and even a cure for cancer acting as an antioxidant.

Legalizing marijuana is the right thing to do, opening the doors for further research. States should have the right to decide for themselves, and the president should agree and uphold his sworn duty to the constitution and people of the United States. Legalization of marijuana will save us billions in enforcement and correction, while allowing law enforcement to focus on issues like meth and other HARD drugs. States can make money taxing the sales of it.
