End Selective Service registration and place the independent agency back into "deep standby".

Selective Service registration has been allowed to go on for far too long. We spend millions of dollars every year registering young men for a program that we have never used and have never needed. Enforcement is a convoluted mess, denying federal jobs and student aid and soon we will be denying Social Security benefits to men who failed to register over 30 years ago. Now there is talk of registering women as well. Instead of building up this useless program, we should show our support for the All-Volunteer military, freedom of choice, and fiscal responsibility by ending the Selective Service registration program. President Obama, you are our best chance in decades. Please to do the right thing and place the agency back into "Deep Standby" or abolish it once and for all!
