End the semi-annual time change and remain on Daylight Saving Time in perpetuity.

Created by D.C. on March 03, 2016

Changing the clocks for Daylight Saving Time is an outdated and wasteful ritual in our modern time.

Most people do not stop working, shopping, or enjoying themselves after the sun has gone down. The most cited reason for maintaining DST, energy savings, is false in our modern world. According to the Indiana study, it was found to cost more energy than it saves.

Additional health studies have shown that changing the clocks leads to health problems and dangers; including increased heart attack and vehicular accidents. This practice results in hundreds of thousands of hours of lost productivity in workplaces across the country. DST is observed about eight months out of the year, and it just makes practical and economic sense to extend it through the final four months.

Make DST year round.
