end the separation of races by establishing "American" as the only race for this country.

I believe the largest contributor to racism in the United States is the way we look at ourselves. Every paper we have to sign requires us to describe ourselves as "White, Black, Hispanic, ...". It makes no sense to separate ourselves by the color of our skin when we are supposed to be the 'Land of the Free'. So we as Americans should only be classified as one race. American. Every person in this country should have the same opportunity as everyone else, and by separating ourselves, we are making that impossible. By establishing this, we will be making a giant leap in the right direction towards ending racism.
