Some states in America make it a felony if you video tape or audiotape police, sherriffs, state troopers, or other law enforcement. Often, defending on the county, the only possible defense against accepting law enforcement testimony is audio or video recordings proving the error in the testimony--accidental or intentional.
This highly aggressive law is a violation of human liberties against a paramilitary series of organizations that have made the USA the leading jailor on earth. 25% of inmates live in the USA.
We also hope these tapes will augment the taping law enforcement does and protect law enforcement. But if officers are going to carry a gun it must be in the "sun" of information. And if a life can end up in the hell of jail, Reality must be expanded, and never stamped out.
