End Sexism in the Affordable Care Act

Created by F.M. on May 30, 2013

As of August 1st, 2012 many health care services such as breast cancer screenings, and contraception and sterilization procedures for women were made free of co-pays, deductibles, or out-of-pocket expenses, as well as HIV and STI screenings for sexually active women. At this time there are no equivalent rules in place for men to address male-specific cancer screenings or sterilization procedures and Men are charged co-pays for HIV and STI screenings unless they fit into a "high risk" category.

We the people demand that the protections and benefits provided by the ACA be made gender neutral so all citizens may benefit equally.
