End the state level bans on Gay and Lesbian marriages in concordance with the first provision of the first amendment.

Created by J.R. on May 11, 2012

The First provision of the First amendment states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" and this law was passed on to the state level with the ratification of the fourteenth amendment. State wide bans on Gay and Lesbian marriages have been drawn up and pushed into ratification by religious organizations who claim that Gay and Lesbian legal unions are unlawful due to their own religious beliefs. These acts of ignorance, intolerance, and hate need to come to an end. We call for the dissolving of these bans and other similar laws that provide concessions to religious organizations to inflict their beliefs on the public.
