We want no money, thats right, no money, to go towards subsidizing the Fossil Fuel Industry. Not only do subsidies to the Fossil Fuel Industry increase carbon emissions, they also are giving away taxpayer money to companies who are already making a huge profit. The estimate of subsidies going to the Fossil Fuel Industry is 37.5 billion dollars annually, and some put it as high as 52 billion dollars annually. On the USA's top 10 Fortune 500 companies, 5 are oil and gas companies. That is outrageous! Signing this petition will let the government know that we are tired of wasted taxpayer money and supporting the very companies who are destroying us.
