Having reached peak oil production, the time is NOW to end investment and subsidies for big Oil & Gas production and transition to sustainable, renewable sources of energy, like solar and wind. Countries like Germany receive substantially less sunlight than the United States, yet through vigorous subsidies of renewable energy, Germany exceeds our solar energy production hundreds of times over. Both the United States and Canada are reeling from the disastrous effects of risky oil extraction, like fracking and cyclic steam stimulation, resulting in acres upon acres of contaminated land and resources when spills occur, and they do, frequently. It's time to stop polluting and over-exploiting our natural resources and invest in renewable energy for the future of our planet.
