The Obama Administration should support ending subsidies for oil, gas, coal, and nuclear energy companies. The Administration should take these subsidies and apply them to individual American Citizens' renewable energy projects.
Currently, tax credits are given to home owners who have photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, or other renewable energy forms. Subsidizing renewable energy for individuals will help individuals to pay for the initial costs of installing renewable energy systems on their homes. Support for this petition will lower the US dependence on foreign oil, domestic oil, gas, coal, and nuclear energy. Plus, supporting this petition will create jobs in the manufacturing and installing processes of renewable energy systems.
