The founding fathers realized the importance of a clear separation of Church & State so that Churches would not be subjected to overt control by the Government.
As a Nation we understand that this also means Churches are barred from engaging in political discourse as a condition of the exemption. No group should have access to influence the Governing of our Nation if they do not participate in the basic function of paying taxes like everyone else.
For too long and too often, religious groups have openly disregarded this precedent, campaigning from the pulpit and making a mockery of the necessary lines between Church & State.
Please ammend the Tax Code to swiftly remove the Tax Exampt status of Churches who do not comply with the rule, and require them to pay their fair share.
