End the Tax Exempt Status of the National Football League (NFL) and Tax them on the same basis as the average citizen

Currently the NFL is exempt from paying taxes as it is described by the IRS as a 501(c)6 Non Profit Organization, which is typically reserved for organizations/businesses that are not organized for profit and no part of the net earnings of which inures to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual. However, when looking at the NFL, it seems that it generates huge profit for all involved, and this dates back to when the NFL merged with the AFL, and it technically is not a "sport" but rather "entertainment." It is a racket and a scam and by petitioning to get the NFL to pay taxes on all revenue we may be able to save this country's plummet from National Debt.
