For too long Churches and other religious organizations have been tax-exempt. This status has been taken advantage of, and is out of control. In our nations economic climate we can use the income to invest in America's infrastructure and create much needed jobs.
Many of these institutions make enormous profits only to line the wallets of the owners, tax free.
If Churches want to act like a business they should be taxed like one. Please remove the tax exempt status from religious organizations.
