It's time to stop subsidizing the oil and gas industry through tax incentives. The oil and gas companies will say that they only have a 7.3% profit margin and that's why they need the incentives. While a 7.3% profit margin is quite low in comparison to most other industries, when you consider that it's a 7.3 percent profit on trillions upon trillions of dollars it doesn't seem that small. With projected profits to easily exceed 100,000,000.000 dollars for 2012 we need to ask ourselves, do they really need the extra tax incentives?
