Oil industries get large subsidies from us, the taxpayers, all while making record profits year after year. Promoting fossil fuels will not benefit future generations and isn't economically feasible with other countries like Germany and China passing us up on renewable energies. We are slipping behind other nations because we refuse to focus our energy plan on renewables. The proposed energy plan by this administration is a step in the right direction but isn't enough. End tax breaks on the gas and oil industry and install tax breaks to those who promote and develop renewable energies. Let's get this country moving in the right direction when it comes to energy.
