End the unconstitutional tax exemption of religious facilities (churches).

Created by J.S. on February 27, 2014

The tax exemption of religious institutions is a strain on our economy and highly unconstitutional. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" deliberately states that. In order for them to be exempt, congress must make decisions whether the institution is legitimate. They continually suck the money from their constituents and either use it locally for their own benefits or send it out of the country to the head of the church (papacy) instead of using it to help the good of the community in terms of charities or helping the homeless. Rough estimates of tax revenue near the $80 billion range which could do some good, like actually giving the homeless homes and completely paying for the food stamp program. Please end this.
