Why is it that only cars that are in certain areas near cities required to get emission checks? The same air circulates around the world. People who live in the city drive less miles than those who commute to the city from outside the area. Is this because more non white races live in the city? The emissions checks serve no purpose, the car can pass the test and then emit 40 times the allowable limit after the test as proved by VW and their polluting diesel cars. Older more polluting cars are not required to test and cars that do test can have a different tune put on them in 5 minutes after the test with a hand held tuner. I am responsible for my car and know if the check engine light comes on, don't need to pollute more going to a check station when there is no problem.
