End the United States embargo against Cuba

The US embargo against Cuba, which prohibits commercial, economic, and financial relations between the two countries has been in effect since 1960. The intention behind this initiative was more relevant to the time of its passage. However, it has been over 50 years, and US foreign policy has changed drastically. The Cuban government is no longer a threat to US national security. Cuba has implemented reforms as of recent to allow the Cuban people to take part in a free enterprise economy. With an embargo lift, US would open up trade with Cuba. This entails the exchange of goods and the ability for US citizens to travel freely to the beautiful island. This would in return create economic opportunities for the Cuban people and improve living standards substantially on the island.
