This is a request to have the government enact legislation to end the embargo on travel to Cuba. The original embargo, enacted in October, 1960, appears to have long outlived its usefulness.
Despite the existence of the embargo, the United States is the fifth largest exporter to Cuba (6.6% of Cuba's imports are from the US). However, Cuba must pay cash for all imports, as credit is not allowed. If American companies can trade with Cuba, it seems logical that US citizens should be granted the same opportunity.
