U.S. embargoes against Cuba have been present since March of 1958 they are a relic of a period when we used words like "pinko" and spied on our brothers and sisters in hope of finding secret political desires. In short the cold war is over and yet we are holding on to past grudges.
We need to allow our neighbor the equal right to trade and be prosperous so that its people might live better lives.
If trade embargoes continue they will only drive a deeper wedge between our two countries and make our future inevitable reformation more difficult.
