End U.S. aid to the Egyptian Military

Created by J.D. on November 20, 2011

In 2010, $1.3 billion of U.S. taxpayer money went to strengthening the Egyptian Military, who also receive hundreds of millions of dollars worth of excess military hardware from the Pentagon.

This money and these weapons are now being used against the Egyptian people, as they fight for a true democracy in their country. Our President supported Egyptian protestors seeking an end to the Mubarak dictatorship, and so too should he support them as they seek an end to Military dictatorship.

In this time of national debt and deficit, it hardly seems prudent to waste our money funding a Military that kills the very citizens it is supposed to protect, in order to stop them from voicing dissent.

We must end all aid to the Military of Egypt immediately
