Dear Mr. President
For years, the US embargo against the cuban regime, not only has proven to be uneffective in its original purpose, but even beneficial to the Castros brothers. It has served as the perfect excuse to continue playing "victims of imperialism" and as an argument to crush any political opposition or dissent in Cuba. Every time a US administration has opened up to relations or trade between the two countries, the cuban tyrant either sent troops abroad or shot down US civilian planes in international waters, just to manipulate the opinion and undermine any talk efforts.
Mr. President, I kindly urge you to take action and make a difference this time, like Ronald Regan did in the 80s. Back then, all communist regimes in Europe fell without any bloodshed or violence.
