The Federal Election Commission should put an end to the gerrymandering of districts of U.S. House of Representatives by using a non-political method of creating districts: The USPS-assigned Zip Codes, along with the most recent US Census data.
Example #1: If a state now has 6 representatives (according to Census count), then the "first" district in that state would be calculated by starting with the lowest numbered Zip Code in the state and adding adjacent-numbered districts until the number of residents living in those sequentially Zip Codes totaled 1/6th of the state's population. The "second" district would tally Zip Codes until the second 1/6th of population was counted.
If the next census said that state now had 5 representatives, "1/5" would be the threshold.
