The United States involvement in the Russian/Ukrainian conflict is ill advised. US leadership is ignorant of historical difficulties with the collapse of an empire, in this case the USSR. Disputes regarding boundaries can take decades or even centuries to resolve. Didn't we learn anything from World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam and Yugoslavia.
