end the use of daylight savings time.

Created by K.H. on October 30, 2013

It's after 7am in late October and it's pitch black outside. This is not caused by the natural cycles of the sun rise and set, but by an unnatural adjustment to the clocks to force humans to adjust their schedules.

The government's intrusion into time itself is perhaps greater than any other government intrusion in history. This, despite the fact that there is limited evidence of any real benefit in terms of energy savings and significant harm in terms of personal well-being (especially in children, who find it very difficult to go to sleep when it is bright light outside at 9pm in the summer).

Nearly all of South America and Asia have already abandoned DST and most of Africa never adopted it in the first place. Yer the US, Canada and most of Europe stubbornly continue to us it.
