End the use of the death penalty in the United States.

Created by J.W. on November 19, 2012

Reputable study after reputable study has shown that the death penalty does not deter crime and that is costs much more to execute an individual than to sentence them to serve the rest of their life in prison with no chance of parole.

Over 120 countries on earth have abolished the death penalty leaving the United States standing alone with countries such as Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, and China as nations that still kill its own citizens.

It is time to join the majority of the world and recognize that every life has value, even the life of those that commit a terrible crime. The United States must abolish the death penalty.
