We ask that President Obama halt the use of military drones to strike targets in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, and other "hot spots" around the word. These strikes, while involving very little risk to our own forces, have resulted in the deaths of countless civilians--including children--and only help to incite greater anti-American hatred around the globe. The fact that these weapon are "unmanned" does not lessen their lethality or reduce our moral culpability. Every child deserves to live in peace and security. And no parent whose child is killed in a drone strike is likely to thank us for "bringing democracy" to their village.
