Petition to end the use of force without due representation in foreign countries. Since Truman bypassed the Constitution in the Korean war, Presidents have largely ignored the fact that only Congress has the authority to declare war. Presidents cite that Article II section 2 of the Constitution make the President the Commander-in-Chief of the Military. Whatever the true intention of the founding fathers, we are the electorate of our government now and hostile action should only be taken with due diligence and consent of the people through our elected representatives.
