Nuclear power plant use began in this country in 1954. Nuclear power plants create radioactive waste. That waste can not be safely disposed of. The current method of disposing of radioactive waste is to bury it in the ground, in hopes that a future generation will come up with a plan to safely remove the substance. It has been 60 years now, and there is no solution in sight. It is time to end nuclear power and stop the overwhelming amount of radioactive waste from being dumped on the future generation. There are plenty of renewable energies that are safe for the environment and for the health concerns of our children. Please stand with me to put an end to nuclear power.
