Since the reduction of forces due to OIF/OEF winding down, the VA has delayed benefits that have been promised from the federal government to veterans. Many veterans leave the military and enter the civilian world with no civilian credentials and need these benefits to get their feet on the ground. This includes the GI Bill which more often than not never comes, or is delayed and prevents veterans from being able to seek a higher education due to the need to make ends meet. This petition is to ensure that the benefits these veterans earned are received in a timely manner.
