We, the undersigned American Citizens, call for the speedy withdrawal of our troops from Afghanistan. All further resources towards involvement in Afghanistan should be used to carry out the withdrawal process. As of March 1, 2013, the total number of U.S. casualties from Operation Enduring Freedom was 2,169 according to the Department of Defense. According to economic adviser Barney Frank, The United States spent about $650 billion on it's military in the last fiscal year. Our withdrawal from Afghanistan would save us hundreds of billions of dollars. It would also leave our country with less broken military families due to the deaths that have been occurring as a result of the war.
