End the War on Drugs

Created by M.B. on November 16, 2015

The War on Drugs has been a disaster. Not only has it not reduced drug related crime or prevent minors from obtaining drugs, it has increased the amount of violence in Latin American countries and America. The rise of the Drug
War led to the rise of the Cartel, much as Prohibition helped the Mafia and the War on Terror led to the rise of terrorist organizations, but that is another situation. What could be done to fix the current situation includes; a reduction of incarceration of non-violent drug offenders, the decriminalization and government regulation of illegal drugs, the limitation of military grade weapons to local and state police forces, the increase of out of prison jobs for former inmates, and more rehabilitation for drug users.
