End the War on Drugs

Created by C.N. on May 13, 2016

The United States in the past 40 years has spent an estimated 1 Trillion dollars fighting in the "War on Drugs."
It will never end, the use has been going on a steady incline the past few decades. The US is just wasting money and putting people in prison.
Around 50 PERCENT of THE UNITED STATES PRISONERS ARE INCARCERATED ON DRUG CHARGES. Many of which are not violent.
Instead of spending billions a year, both federally and locally, the government, of and for THE PEOPLE, should instead focus on drug education and healthy use.

Many drugs are harmful because people do not know how to use them and many of the times other substances are mixed in with the drug.

The government could tax the drugs and make money instead of wasting it on a war that will never end.
