War is a state of armed conflict between different nations or different groups within a nation. The metaphorical "War on Drugs" has become a global conflict by claiming it fights against substances, instead of people. The DEA is a militant organization who fight addiction, which is often a psychosocial disease, if not physical dependancy. Most resistant armed forces rise from impoverished communities who are disenfranchised by biased law enforcement and lack of social security.
We demand this war ends and efforts shift into post-war rehabilitation for all the communities it has destroyed.
We ask for ethical testing of all substances currently scheduled, and education based on harm reduction.
We ask for the decriminalization of drug use, to treat addiction like a disease and not a crime.
