End the "war on drugs" and use Portugal 's law as a model .

To use Portugal's new laws concerning drugs to craft a new approach to end our "war on drugs" and move to educate and rehabilitate instead of incarceration .
Our approach to this problem hasn't worked in the 90 years we've been doing this .
Maybe it's time to take a new look at this and a new approach .
Because the only thing we've managed to do under the current laws is to create millions of new criminals . Costing the tax payers billions in a never ending cycle .
More the 100 million people have been arrested for drug law violations in the last 40 years . Isn't that prof enough we are taking the wrong approach .
