Unlike Israel though, military service is not mandatory here and too few civilians outside of law enforcement have extensive formal weapons training or experience in tactical combat exercises to cover the country's ~132,000 elementary and secondary schools.
However, we do have an active military of >1.4 million. Why continue this costly war killing Americans & innocents when we can employ them here instead? We could easily assign qualified pairs to schools wanting their additional help if prioritized like marshals for air travel
