End the War on Terror by repealing the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists.

Created by M.M. on December 15, 2012

All War must come to an end. As a country we have succeeded at the primary goal set by congress, "...to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons [that] planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons". Yet the state of war continues and is used to justify the executive branch ignoring Constitutional protections.

Terrorism is is now part of our everyday lives and will be for decades to come. As such the govern should be function under its ordinary powers to protect citizens rather then the extraordinary powers provided by a state of war.
