End the war on terror, spend money on education. Please.

Created by Z.R. on February 27, 2013

We are the United States, a global superpower, a leader in economics, military, and international politics. For more than eleven years we have been wrapped in a blanket of fear. Terrorism attempts to create a large political impact by violent, extra-governmental means.

We've spent trillions of dollars primarily on destruction and made the most restrictive domestic policy in decades. It sounds bad, but we are losing.

Security through armament is only temporary. Any gain in resources breeds global competition. Military competition is known as militarism, and it has been commonly linked to the two most destructive wars in recent history.

Security through education has no time limit. Its competition are those who seek to understand what it means to be human. Inherently, this makes us safer.
