In 2014, a coup removed democratically elected President Viktor Yanukovych from office. Regions such as Donetsk, Luhansk, & Crimea responded with referendums in hopes to exercise their right to self-determination.
As Americans we are committed to the right of self-determination. We believe this right isn’t situational (i.e. when it benefits us), nor is it locational (i.e. meaning we stand for self-determination everywhere in the world). We either stand for democracy or we stand for hypocrisy. And as an Americans, we stand for a president who stands for democracy.
• Organize an international coalition to administer free and fair referendums in Donetsk, Luhansk, & Crimea & recognize the results.
• Sign an executive order to end sanctions on Russia and Crimea.
