We the people ask to end weekend home work for high school students across the USA. Often times high school students such as myself, spend hours over weekends trying to complete what we have been assigned. But have we forgotten what our weekend is really for? The weekend is a time to relax, take a ski trip, play some sports, visit friends, work, etc. Life isn't meant to be spent sitting inside on chairs till 1 in the morn trying to complete homework (studies show both sitting and less than 8 hours of sleep are both unhealthy for the teenage body), rather life is meant to be explored and enjoyed. So why do we let our schools corrupt us of the way life is really meant to be lived? Let our two days off a week be spent the way that best suits each individual to allow for a more enjoyable life.
