Through ENDA we have made advances for same-sex couples and LGBT*+ couples as well. However we are still far from true equality. Many businesses still discriminate against their openly gay or queer employees. Many are fired for getting married to their partners which has been ruled a basic right by the 108th congress. If we are to allow discrimination against same-sex marriage who know what other rights we can be denied because of religious views.
More people on the work force, regardless of sexuality, will fuel the economy. Which in turn will pull America out of the hole of debt we are sliding ever deeper into.
