Endangered Species, Desert Tortoise, going to be Euthanized, at Desert National Wildlife Refuge, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Created by E.L. on April 15, 2014

Save the Desert Tortoises, that are kept at the National Refuge Center in Las Vegas,Nv. This species has been ruled endangered since 1999. Funding is ending due to budget cuts from BLM and the Housing Developers contributions are down. The Desert Tortoises have been collected and placed here for their protection. They are a low maintenance creature. This facility sits on 220 acres. The area designated for the tortoises is about 1/4 of an acre. How can anyone claiming to save this species, now kill them.I find it hard to believe that this is a million dollar a year operation. Even if that be the case, our duty is to find other options in order to save these 200 Million year old marvels of nature. Please address my concerns and save the Desert Tortoises as this endangered species deserves.
