Because antiquated seizure laws are being abused by law enforcement agencies, law-abiding Americans are having their rights legally but immorally stripped out of their unrestrained hands. The nationwide practice of asset forfeiture has led to the unjust seizures of millions of dollars in hard-earned and legally obtained assets, with virtually no oversight. H.R.5212, introduced in the summer of 2014 by Rep. Tim Walberg, would amend the current laws to represent our basic human rights and the basis of our constitution.
