Ending capital punishment in all of the states of the United States of America

Created by W.B. on September 22, 2011

Asking the Executive branch to begin the process of amending the Constitution to define capital punishment as "cruel punishment" under the eighth amendment. The recent events in Georgia, the ongoing executions of prisoners in Texas; and the continued findings of innocence among those convicted of all nature of crimes; makes in unconscionable that this nation continue to allow its member states or the Federal government to exercise a program of capital punishment.
