We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Ending predatory practices of financial institutions, beginning by imposing limits on banking fees on fixed income.

Created by J.P. on August 02, 2016

For households struggling to meet basic needs, a payday loan is the only way to make ends meet, until the next pay check.
Many of the people most vulnerable to payday and other predatory loans are low-income families, households of color and seniors on fixed incomes — people who already occupy a fragile position in the American economy.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau proposed to limit the industry's most abusive practices by preventing lenders rolling over the same loan multiple times.
CFPB wants to limit payday lenders from allowing borrowers to get the loans they need, when it should be looking towards banking /financial industries unreasonable fees associated with them. Imposing limits on us is not helpful as it would be to limit their fees and abusive practices .
