Daylight Saving Time is a preposterous tradition. It started with a satirical essay by Benjamin Franklin who jokingly commented that changing the clocks would save candle wax, and for some unknown reason Johnson passed it into federal law.
Farmers hate it, their schedule is unaffected by clocks. Businesses hate it, it destroys productivity for up to 3+ weeks. Law Enforcement and Medical Responders hate it, automobile accident rates and heart attacks increase following DST in Spring, killing hundreds each year.
It is hurting our economy and literally killing US citizens for absolutely no tangible benefit. It needs to stop.
