Endorse and promote the abolishment of the doctrine of Absolute Judicial Immunity by Constitutional Amendment

Establish a Constitutional Amendment that abolishes the court created doctrine of absolute judicial immunity from civil liabilities for judges. 42 U.S.C. § 1983 provides a means for relief for civil rights violations. However, the court created doctrine of absolute judicial immunity has extended an exception to judges that willfully and maliciously violate the rights of citizens. The Civil Rights Act of 1871 was specifically enacted to prevent abuses perpetrated by government officials, including judges. The courts then created doctrinal law excluding judges fom civil liability for damages for acts taken in their official capacity. This doctrine militates against the "every person" description found the the 1871 Act and gives judges unfettered immunity for civil rights violations.
