This would require that the winner of the nationwide popular vote become the elected President. This should be done either by amendment to eliminate the Electoral College or by an amendment requiring that all Electors must vote for the winner of the nationwide popular vote.
After numerous elections where controversy existed due to the Electoral College and its arcane rules which are determined by each state individually; and following many states now trying to manipulate federal elections by changing the way they apportion electors, it is now time for the people to directly elect their President and Vice President.
