Bernie Sanders embodies the very Hope that was President Obama's campaign message: that we could be more like the other developed nations of the world in social policies and civil rights. Hillary Clinton's willingness to compromise with obstructionists will achieve nothing in this political environment.
Mr. Obama, if you are truly the progressive that I believe you to be, you must in your heart believe that Senator Sanders is right. His proposals align with those of most center-left European political parties, and will find broad support with the people of this country, as I hope will be shown by the signatures below.
